Monthly distribution of payment types by Baku Bus routes-2026.

This dataset reflects the monthly distribution of payment types by Baku Bus routes. Payments on buses are made via NFC-based contactless payment methods (bank cards, mobile phones and other electronic devices), QR code and Smart card, are recorded, and are classified into three payment types (NFC, QR, Smart). The dataset provides the share of each payment type in the total payments of a route, in percent, broken down by route and date. The dataset reflects only the relative share of payment types: for each route and date, the NFC, QR and Smart shares add up to 100 percent. The dataset does not provide the absolute number of payments, the number of passengers, or origin-destination trips. The data should be interpreted as the intensity of use of each payment type on a route and should not be taken as the actual number of unique passengers transported, a complete passenger flow, or a trip chain. Although the last day of the reporting month is recorded in the date column, the corresponding interest rates represent the average figure for that month. The list of routes may change over time, and new routes may be added later. Technical malfunctions or exceptional cases may partially affect the accuracy of the data.
