This dataset reflects the daily distribution of passages through entry turnstiles at Baku Metro stations by payment types. Turnstile passages are recorded based on the reading of cards, as well as NFC-based contactless payment methods carried out via mobile phones and other electronic devices at the entrance turnstiles of metro stations, and are classified according to various payment types. The dataset provides the number of entries for each payment type, broken down by station and date. Currently, passengers are not re-identified at the exit turnstiles. For this reason, the relevant dataset is formed solely based on entry data and does not cover passenger exits or origin-destination route schemes. The data reflects only the intensity of entries at each station in terms of payment types and should not be interpreted as a complete trip chain. Each entry by the same passenger multiple times during the day is recorded as a separate passage. The data should be interpreted as the number of turnstile passages at the station according to payment type and should not be taken as the actual number of unique passengers transported or as a complete passenger flow. Technical malfunctions or exceptional cases may partially affect the accuracy of the data. Data update frequency - once a month. Coverage area - Baku city. Data provider - “K Group” MMC (Baku Kart).
